Introduction
Intranet Portal is a company intranet system based on Lotus Notes/Domino platform. It was designed to match the ever growing requirements and wishes of users and administrators for a sophisticated company intranet system.
Intranet Portal uses all advantages of Lotus Notes/Domino platform in its maximum – first and foremost security, perfected by fulltext search, database and document hyperlinks, integration with e-mail/calendar/to-do list/resources etc., and an undepreciated web access. |
Overview
- Uniform and easy-to-use environment for all users.
- Design adjustable on request (colors, logotypes, documents design, frames layout etc.).
- Access to Intranet Portal from Lotus Notes client or via web browser – HTTP and HTTPS supported.

- Unlimited integration possibility of existing customer Lotus Notes databases into a uniform Intranet Portal environment.

- Simple and easy administration via database profiles and batch tools (migration of documents between sections, change of access rights etc.).
- Possibility to define default values and access rights in entire intranet down to each individual section level.
- Possibility to make additional alterations (databases/sections adding, design changes [general advantage of Lotus Notes environment]).
- Simple but universal model of of access rights controle down to a document level (user doesn’t have to change ACL), both in document databases and disccusions and trainings. Three document types – Private, Limited and Public.
- Menu items fully controlled by section documents (internal and external databases, url, application, address books, @Formulas, menu headings.
- Fulltext document searching (including embedded attachments!).
- Quick category – section – document navigation.
- Document categorization according to keywords and other customer’s criterias (for example, by client, orders, projects, contracts etc.).

- Subscription – automatic notification about document changes in selected sections according to given criterias (author, title, keywords). Subscription can be diplayed in common email view or in user personal view.
- Document notification – Intranet Portal allows to notify of the changed or new document (or more documents) by email message, containing either a link or the whole document.
- Tip of Day – shows hints and tips on how to better use the possibilities of Intranet Portal.
- Notice-board (welcome page) provides information to user with possibility to specify reader and time interval for displaying mail (in future, too).
- Personal bookmarks – you can create a personalized bookmarks list linking directly to the sections you frequently use (e.g. documents, contacts, company web, etc.) – so you don’t have to click through the menu hierarchies.
- Quick launch of predefined programs, web pages, databases, mail, calendar, to-do’s of currently logged-in user (as defined in User Preferences).*
- Possibility to insert links to filesystem into documents (for instance, shared documents on server).
- Editing history – record of who modified what since the document’s last save.
- Access statistics – Intranet Portal allows to view a detailed log of who opened or edited the document, how many times and on what server.
- Automatic document archiving in databases in accordance with selected criterias (for instance, [...] days unmodified etc.) made easy by Intranet Portal Archiver add-on module.
- Compatibility with Lotus Notes R7.0.3, Sametime 7.5.1 and Windows Vista.
*Functionality of these actions in a web browser dependable on location of target files/programs.
